Cold Wallets Hacked for $70M in Sophisticated Attack

Galaxy Research revealed that a recent attack on cold wallets resulted in losses of $70 million. The attackers' strategy involved recreating private keys offline using weaknesses in the seed generation process. This allowed them to sweep nearly 1,200 wallets, stealing more than 1,000 Bitcoin in the process.
